| Inter-district Kho-Kho: Jammu, Udhampur in semis | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, May 31: Host Jammu and district Udhampur today qualified for the semifinals of both under-14 and under-17 age groups in the ongoing divisional level inter-district boys’ kho-kho tournament, organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) at Youth Hostel, Nagrota near here.
Besides Jammu and Udhampur, Samba and Reasi are other districts reaching the last four stages of under-14 kho-kho. Similarly, Rajouri and Doda have made it to the semifinals with Jammu and Udhampur in under-17 event.
Earlier, in under-14 event, Jammu aided by brilliant skills displayed by Sikander Kumar and Harjot Singh defeated Doda by two points (6-4), while in under-17 group, Jammu rode on excellent performance by Sunil and Rohit trounced Doda by equal number of points with the same score as well.
The officiating panel included Rakesh Kakkar, Rakesh Kumari, Rajesh Sambyal, Sham Singh, Suraj Dev Singh, Kulbir Singh, Gagan Kumar, Shashi Sambyal and Anju Rani.

Kho-Kho U-17 years: Jammu bt Ramban by one turn and 10 points, Rajouri bt Kishtwar by one point (3-2), Poonch bt Reasi by one point (4-3), Udhampur bt Kathua by one point (2-1), Poonch bt Ramban by one turn and five points, Kathua bt Kishtwar by seven points (12-5), Doda bt Reasi by six points (7-1), Udhampur bt Samba by one point (3-2), Jammu bt Doda by two points (6-4) and Rajouri bt Samba by one point.
Kho-Kho U-14 years: Jammu bt Ramban by (7-0), Rajouri bt Kishtwar by one point (8-7), Reasi bt Poonch by (6-0), Udhampur bt Kathua by five points (5-0), Poonch bt Ramban by (4-0), Kishtwar bt Kathua by one turn and one point, Reasi bt Doda by (5-4), Samba bt Udhampur by (2-1), Jammu bt Doda by two points (6-4) and Samba bt Rajouri by 5 points (8-3).
