Sagar of Delhi wins Udhampur Kesari dangal | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, May 31: Wrestler Sagar of Sat Paul Akhara in Delhi lifted the 4th Udhampur Kesari Dangal title beating equally good Sandeep, again from Delhi in the main bout that took place at Subash Sports Stadium Udhampur. While Sagar received handsome cash prize of Rs 9,000, Sandeep was presented a 6,000. This dangal was organized by district Udhampur Fruits and Vegetables Vendors Union in association with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association. Member Legislative Assembly, Balwant Singh Mankotia was chief guest in this day-long dangal, who gave away cash prizes to the winners of different bouts. President J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association, Shiv Kumar presided. Former Councilor Udhampur Municipality, Ashwani Khajuria and district officer Horticulture Planning and Marketing, Varinder Sharma were guests of honour. Earlier, the second main bout won by Phalla of Himachal Pardesh, beat Gulal of Amritsar in Punjab. Both the wresters were given a cash prize of Rs 7,000 and Rs 4,000 respectively. Third bout went to Digvijay of Khanna in Punjab after defeated Onkar Singh of Kathua (BSF) while fourth main bout between Mantri of Guru Hanuman Akhara Delhi and Kulbir Singh of Kot Bhalwal in Jammu ended in a draw after a tough fight that lasted for 21 minutes. Other Results: Chanchal of Delhi bt Swarn Singh of Kot Bhalwal; Pankaj of Delhi bt Bobri of Jammu; Parveen of Khanna bt Akram of Jammu; Kuldeep of Bamhag bt Billa of Jullandher; Prem Verma of Jhiri bt Bittu of Nawashar; Liqat Ali of Panthal bt Pammi of Jammu; Ajay of Laden Power House bt Billu of Kot Bhalwal; Billa of Kot Bhalwal bt Rinku of Delhi; Gopi of Amritsar bt Gopal of Jindrah; Kuldeep Singh of Ramnagar bt Prittam Singh of Reasi; Thirthu of Manwal bt Bushan of Jammu; Amir Khan of Jammu bt Vijak Kumar of Delhi; Showket Ali of Nargada bt Vijay of Ramnagar. Bouts between Lucky of Delhi and Farooq of Jammu, Naresh Kumar of Jammu and Gurdev Singh of Devi Garh and Amir Khan of Jammu and Manopreet of Amritsar ended in a draw.
