| PDP urges for immediate compensation to the farmers | | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, June 1: Peoples Democratic Party president, Mehbooba Mufti has expressed deep concern over the damage to the crops and the fruits caused by hailstorm in various parts of the valley particularly in the Wachi Constituency.
In a statement she said that recent hailstorm has done severe damage to the crops and the fruits in particular resulting huge loss to the farmers and fruit growers.
She stressed for immediate assessment of loss and adequate compensation to the effected farmers and fruit growers.
Meanwhile senior leader and MLA Bandipora, Nizamudin Bhat expressing shock over the loss due to severe hailstorm urged the government to immediately depute the concerned officials to assess the loss and compensate the sufferers.
