Jammu, June 1: Despite tall claims by the government to provide all round development to all three of the Jammu and Kashmir state, yet the 2.5 kilometer long link road of District Kishtwar which starts from main Bazar Kishtwar to Kartik Swami Mandir of Village Nagni falls under the Panchayat Hidyal is still in Dilapidated condition, where as the construction of the road was started a decade ago.
The long 2.5 kilometer link road which connects near about three thousand population is still in dilapidated condition as the construction was started a decade ago and still the road is not completely in sight. since from 2000 the local populace of this area is suffering from this problem as the road is not having the proper drainage system along it, where ever the students and daily goers are too facing problem as the road become muddy and neaked during the rains. The blockages of the city drainage also cause the same problem which directly falls on the concerned road.
When contacted to Sajjad Ahmad Kichloo the MLA regarding the dilapidated road, he reported as the road was belonging to NABAD and due to some reason the scheme got exhausted and the work come to end. But the plan has been revised now and we will be able to complete the road till 2012, said MLA Kishtwar. AEE of R and B Kishtwar said that we will be able to get the road black top and to make the proper drainage of the same road till 2012 next year. When asked about the problem regarding the road still not completed, he said that it was due to the lack of funds of the NABAD. The land composition was also the problem for the same. But we are hoping that the work will get to the finishing line in the next year
