Ranbir school employee-turned-cheater had stolen 5 mobikes too | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, June 1: A former laboratory assistant of Ranbir Higher Secondary School, who was last week arrested by police in an alleged cheating case, was a vehicle lifter too.Apart from cheating people in the name of providing them jobs in government departments, he had also stolen five motorcycles, police sources said. Anuj Trikha -- a suspended laboratory assistant of Ranbir school -- was last week picked up by police from his residence in Lane No 5 of KB Nagar, Bantalab, for allegedly cheating Nisha, wife of Brij Mohan. Nisha, who lives along with her husband in Ranbireshwar temple quarters on Shalamar Road, was approached by Trikha some time back and assured that he could manage a job for her in education department, the sources added. He was alleged to have taken Rs 70,000 from her and in turn, given her a fake appointment order, according to which she was appointed as 4th class employee in government girls higher secondary school, Mubarak Mandi. A fake stamp of the MUbarak Mandi school principal, one of BOSE and one plain stamp were also recovered from him.Sources said when he was put to sustained questioning, he allegedly told police that he was a vehicle lifter also.On his disclosure, police recovered five motorcycles; two of which were stolen by him from Jullaka Mohalla, one from Gulab Bhavan, one from Pratap Garh Mohalla and one from Jammu University.His interrogation was still on, the sources added.
