| JKPDTU appoints BN Singh, Sr vice president distt Jammu | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 2:
With view to strengthen the J&K Peoples’ Democratic Trade Union (JKPDTU), a veteran trade Union leader B N Singh (SKUAST) was nominated as senior vice president of the district Jammu unit.
This will help in resolving various long pending issues of the autonomous bodies as well as strengthen the trade union movement in Jammu and Kashmir.
Singh said that he will leave no stone unturned to work for the betterment and raising the voice of the down trodden and working class of the State in front of the Govt. He appealed the Chief Minister that Universities being the autonomous bodies, the arrears of the 6th pay commission should not come in the way for its release as these autonomous bodies have their own funds and can meet the expenditure from their internal resources. He urged upon Governor of J&K for his sympathetic consideration of this demand by his august office and heads of the Universities.
