| 2 drug peddlers arrested, 1850 intoxicant capsules recovered | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 2: Police have recovered 1850 intoxicant capsules from two drug peddlers arrested from Kunjwani area here and Doda.
District Special Branch (DSB) sleuths arrested a drug peddler and recovered 1300 intoxicant capsules from his possession.
On specific information, DSB sleuths laid a trap in Kunjwani area and arrested a youth who was coming from Punjab with the consignment of capsules.
On being frisked, police recovered 1300 intoxicant capsules contained in a polythene bag.
The arrested person has been identified as Sonu Rambo of Patoli, Jammu. He was later handed over to the Gangyal police for further interrogation.
Meanwhile, Doda police also arrested a drug peddler possessing illegal consignment of 550 intoxicant capsules.
A special naka was laid by a team of Doda police led by Dy SP Headquarters Doda and SHO police station Doda under the close supervision of SP Headquarters Doda near Khan Plaza Doda on the basis of reliable input that a person with a consignment of intoxicant capsules is moving around in the area with the intention of selling it among addicted people.
Accordingly, a person identified as Roshan Lal of Nagri (Doda) was found moving in suspicious condition and was intercepted.
On searching, 550 capsules of Pyromol Spasm were recovered from his possession. Subsequently, a case was registered at police station Doda against FIR No. 128/2011 under section 8/21 NDPS Act against him. |
