| Poonch Panches, Sarpanches pledge to strengthen Omar’s hand | | |  Early Times Report
POONCH, Jun 2: A large number of Panches and Sarpanches who won election recently throng the house of Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) Poonch Ajaz Ahmed Jan where they pledged to strengthen hands of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in order to take the state towards horizon.
Following declaration of result of Panchayat elections of Block Poonch and Mandi, at least 45 Sarpanchs and hundreds of Panches have extended full support to National Conference. These Sarpanches have pledged to strengthen the hands of Omar Abdullah and Ajaz Jan in their mission of peace and prosperity.
Speaking on the occasion, Ajaz Ahmed Jan, MLA congratulated these Sarpanches and Panches and said that National Conference has emerged as strong party in whole the state and especially Poonch. He said that maximum candidates who won the elections of Sarpanches and Panches joined National Conference party and these elections although non political have given big boost to the party.
NC leader said that Chief Minister Omar Abdullah will very soon meet Panches and Sarpanches of Poonch assembly constituencies and the issues related to their Panchayats will be discussed. Meanwhile MLA was garlanded by the Panches and Sarpanches and termed his contribution as main strengthen in their victory. They added that they are happy of having young and efficient members from Poonch
