| 46 injured in road mishap | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
RAJOURI, June 2: In a tragic incident, a School bus carrying 46 passengers including a Principal and girls of Girls Higher Secondary School Thannamandi were wounded.
All have been hospitalised in District Hospital Rajouri.
Police sources said that a bus bearing registration number JK02E-9353 was on its way from Thanamandi to Rajouri when reached near Palma Army camp skidded of the road resulting in injuries to all the travelling passengers.
As per reports, the bus was carrying School girls to a picnic in Kotranka area of Budhal tehsil.
Principal and a teacher were also accompanying the girl students who also received injuries.
According to the injured students, the bus driver was driving in a reckless manner and the accident happened due to over-speeding.
Following the accident, army police and locals initiated rescue operations and shifted the injured to district Hospital. |
