| About 80 VDC members attend spl training session in Samba | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Jun 3 : In the wake of annual Shri Amarnath pilgrimage beginning from June 29 and to intensify the security structure, about 80 Village Defence Committee (VDC) members were skilled of special training of handling weapons in bordering Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir.
"A-day long training session was conducted for the VDC members yesterday to provide them special training in handling sophisticated weapons besides .303 to strengthen the security structure," a police official said here today.
He said the VDCs enthusiastically attended the training session at Firing Range in Utterbehni, Vijaypur, district Samba.
"Eighty VDCs besides SPOs and other members were given special training on weapons and each participant fired 10 rounds of various gadgetry weapons," he added. |
