| Rajya Sabha Dy Chairman reviews MPLADS in Kashmir | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
SRINAGAR, June 3:
Deputy Chairman, Rajya Sabha and Chairman, Committee on MPLADS, K. Rahman Khan, along with the members of the committee today reviewed the operationalisation and implementation of Member Parliament Local Area Development Scheme in Kashmir with the officers of State Government. Accompanying Khan were MPs Moinul Hassan, Shashi Bhushan Behera, Naznin Faruque, Joint Secretaries, Rajya Sabha, Dr D. B. Singh and T. N. Pandey, OSD to Dy. Chairman, Badruddin Khan and other officers.
The State was represented by Chief Secretary, Madhav Lal. Several Commissioner-Secretaries, Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, several Deputy Commissioners also attended the meeting.
Khan impressed upon the officers of the State Government to implement the MPLAD scheme as per the guidelines issued from time to time. He also reviewed the relief and rehabilitation operation carried out in Ladakh following the cloudburst of last year.
Chief Secretary, Madhav Lal informed the committee that the State Government is making all the details of MPLADS online so that these are easily accessible to everyone.
