| CA&PD squad challans 8 defaulters | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, JUNE 03- A special squad of CA&PD, Jammu, headed by Deputy Director alongwith Assistant Director Enforcement conducted market checking especially of milk and milk products (cheese, curd, milk) on the specific complaints pouring in the local markets regarding over charging.
The team has challaned eight defaulters’ viz halwaies, cheese sellers and milk sellers in Jammu city including two vendors of packed milk and processed cheese under the violation of Price Display Order. Besides, Rs. 2100 have been fined on the spot and Rs. 57000 have been received from the defaulters under the violation of Essential Commodities Act 1955 and Consumer Protection Act 1958.
