| Welfare of police martyr’s family our responsibility: Vaid | | Cash assistance of Rs.4000 extended to 30 martyr’s family | | EARLY TIMES REPORTER JAMMU | JULY 29 “Families of police martyr’s are part of the entire Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) family, their welfare is our responsibility and we will not leave them alone under any testing condition”, said IGP Jammu, Dr. S P Vaid. Dr. Vaid was presiding over the interactive meet between the police officials and the families of police martyr’s at the premises of Police Public School, Miran Sahib here today. Families of 30 police martyr’s from the R S Pura region were specially invited on the occasion. Besides them, police officials were also present on the occasion to enquire from them about their welfare. On the occasion, cash assistance of Rs. 4,000 was also extended to each family, which was generated through the assistance of some private parties. Dr. Vaid personally enquired about the condition of each family, his wife Bharti Vaid, was also accompanying him. Congress leader and Corporator Gandhi Nagar, Bansi Lal Gupta was also present on the occasion. He also interacted with these families and assured all possible assistance to them. Bharti Vaid also inaugurated a Police Welfare Centre at District Police Lines, Border. She inspected the centre and appreciated the management for excellent arrangements. She informed that many such welfare schemes are under way for the welfare of police families.
