Dansal people allege rigging, seek re-poll

JAMMU, June 3: Residents of village De Wazarian of block Dansal have alleged rigging in the Panchayat elections held here on Thursday and demanded re-poll.
According to reports reaching here, the candidate Rajinder Singh with his supporters complained of rigging during polling held in Government Primary School on Thursday. He alleged that 20 percent bogus votes were polled. He has also lodged a written complaint with concerned police station.
Showing voters list, he alleged that Komal Singh, an army personnel and Bilbir Singh, steward, had not come to the polling station but their votes had been polled. Janta Dal General Secretary Ram Rattan, supporters of Rajinder Singh have demanded re polling. He said that complaint in this connection has been lodged with Chief Election Officer.
