| Panchari should be given tehsil status without delay: Khajuria | | | Early Times Report
PANCHERI, UDHAMPUR, June 4: Member Legislative Council and vice president JKPCC Yash Paul Khajuria demanded development of tourism and horticulture at Pancheri block in Udhampur district.
Khajuria while addressing a meeting said that Pancheri is a beautiful spot and can draw tourists if developed in a proper way. Besides, the area is rich in natural herbs and has the potential to grow medicine and fruit plants.
He also drew the attention of horticulture department towards this field .
He said that there is a long pending demand of the people for tehsil status to Pancheri, which should be accepted by the government without any delay.
Khajuria also demanded improvement in the supply of power and drinking water in Pancheri block.
“There are many PHE schemes which are lying dysfunctional in the area, these should be made functional at the earliest”, he added.
