| JMC clears 67 building permission cases | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 4: Under the chairmanship of Sh. S.C Sawhney Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Jammu, a meeting of Building Operation Controlling Authority was held in which the meeting the building permission cases were examined and 67 (sixty seven) building permission cases were cleared.
The other members of Building Operation Controlling Authority besides Joint Commissioner (Adm) and Senior Town Planner of Jammu Municipal Corporation attended the meeting. The building permissions cases cleared today shall generate revenue of Rs. 9.00 lacs for Jammu Municipal Corporation.
Besides this, while continuing the anti – encroachment drive to clear the footpaths / pavements the enforcement staff led by Chief Enforcement Officer visited the areas of Shalamar Road, Indira Chowk, Ranbir Market etc and sized the goods / articles like Coolers, Pedestal Fans, Bicycles, Stools, Sign Boards etc., which were kept by the shopkeepers by encroaching the footpaths / pavements in these areas.
The Jammu Municipal Corporation once again has made an appeal to all the shopkeepers / business establishments to keep the goods / articles within their own premises and to keep the footpaths / pavements clear for the convenience of the General Public failing which strict action like seizure of goods etc shall be taken.
