| CBI presents challan against cheat | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, June-04 (JNF):- Central Bureau of Investigation/ Anticorruption Bureau Jammu has presented challan against Naresh Kumar Gupta Chief Manager then Team Leader State Bank of India Zonal Office Jammu, Ashok Kumar Gupta then Manager Credit Analyst SBI Jammu, Pritam Singh partner Divya Rice Mill Dablahar Tehsil RS Pura, Jaswinder Singh partner Divya Rice Mill Dablahar Tehsil RS Pura, Joginder Singh and KS Puri u/s 120-B r/w section 420/467/468/471 RPC r/w section 5(2) 5(1) (d) J&K PC Act 2006.
According to the case M/S Pritam Singh and Jaswinder Singh partner Divya Rice Mill Dablahar Tehsil RS Pura Jammu entered into criminal conspiracy with M/S AK Gupta Then Credit Analyst, Naresh Kumar Gupta then Chief Manager, Rajinder Singh Wazir of SBI Jammu with a common object to cheat the bank in furtherance of the conspiracy M/S AK Gupta, NK Gupta and Rajinder Singh Wazir misused their official position and accepted false revenue documents prepared by Pritam Singh and Jaswinder Singh partners of Divya Rice Mill as genuine and recommended for sanction of loan of Rs 113.5 lacs ( CC Limit Rs 80 lacs and Terms Loan of Rs 33.5 Lacs). On the basis of recommendations of the abovesaid bank managers, the Chairman of Zonal Credit Officer Credit Committee sanctioned the financial facilities. The loan facilities were misused by the partners of M/S Diya Rice Mill for their own ends and no repayment was made to the bank as a result of which loan turned NPA, causing undue loss to the exchequers and corresponding undue gain to the accused persons.
In the 146 pages challan CBI prayed before the Court that cognizance of the offence u/s 120-B r/w section 420/467/468/471 RPC r/w section 5(2) 5(1) (d) J&K PC Act 2006 may kindly be taken against M/S Naresh Kumar Gupta Chief Manager then Team Leader State Bank of India Zonal Office Jammu now Chieg Manager SBI Panipat, Ashok Kumar Gupta then Manager Credit Analyst SBI Jammu, Pritam Singh partner Divya Rice Mill Dablahar Tehsil RS Pura, Jaswinder Singh partner Divya Rice Mill, Joginder Singh and KS Puri.
