| Inter-block PYKKA competitions conclude | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 04: Organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), the inter-block (under-16 year boys and girls) competitions of Jammu district under PYKKA concluded at Government Higher Secondary School Domana, here today.
Deputy Director DYSS, S S Bali was chief guest, who distributed prizes among winners and runners-up of different events of boys and girls.
Earlier, in the girls’ kabaddi final, R S Pura Block defeated Akhnoor Block 21-04. In the semi-finals, R S Pura beat Khour block while Akhnoor trounced Bhalwal 18-05.
Similarly, the boys’ kabaddi title went to Akhnoor block after the side defeated Khour block 28-11 in the final.
Kho-kho girls’ title was bagged by R S Pura block outplaying Bhalwal Block 6-4 in the final. Bhalwal block also lifted boys kho-kho trophy beating Marh block 6-2. The boys and girls volleyball trophy went to Bhalwal and Khour blocks respectively.
