| MHAC Nagbani staff demands DA installments hold protests | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu , June 4
Both teaching and non-teaching staff of MHAC Nagbani school today stage protest demonstration by sitting on Dharna in the school premises from 10-am to 2-pm in protest against nonpayment of long due DA installments with effect from January, 2010, July 2010 and January 2011 amounting to 24%. The DA has not been paid by the school authorities inspite of repeated requests and reminders. Although, three meeting sof Local Management Committee (LMC) headed by Justice Dr. AS Anand (CJI Retd) were held to take decision on payment of DA to the entire school staff. Though LMC had agreed in principle to pay the due DA with arrears and for generation of funds LMC had decided to increase Development Fund from Rs. 300/- to 2700/- which they have been charging from the students. Although the school has generated sufficient funds yet the Principal instead of releasing the due DA has started mental harassment of the staff by threatening them with termination notice.
It has been reported by the parents and students that the school has been in a state of turmoil since the appointment of the New Principal.
