| NC felicitates newly elected Sarpanches | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
BANIHAL, June 4:
National Conference organized a function at Banihal to felicitate newly elected Sarpanches from Neel, Pogal, Maligam, Sinabati, Sumar, Khari areas of Ramsoo Block. The function was presided by Party leader and distt Secretary Sajjad Shaheen and was attended by other party office bearers.
Shaheen congratulated all newly elected sarpanches and urged them to respond to the aspirations of the people who had participated in large number in Panchayat elections and work sincerely to mitigate their day to day problems. He said that the over-whelming response to National Conference in the ongoing Panchayat Elections is endorsement of the pro people policies of the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. He said that the real motive of holding the Panchayat elections was to empower the people at the grass root level so that they can effectively contribute in policy formation and implementation which forms the basis of a democratic set up.
Prominent who were present on the occasion include Molvi Ab Latif Sarpanch,Ab Rashid Manhas Sarpanch, Gulam Qadir Sehmat Sarpanch, Naseer Ahmed Bali Sarpanch, Mohd Sadiq Naik Sarpanch, Udham Sing Sarpanch, Tosha Singh Sarpanch, Abdul Khaliq Sarpanch, Maya Dass Sarpanch, Riyaz Ahmed Sarpanch, Parvez Ahmed Sarpanch, Abdul Qayoom Panch and others. Haji Mohamed Haneef of PDP, Sarpanch Mahi Dass of BJP, Budhi Singh BJP, Ab Majid Khan, Manzoor Ahmed and others joined National Conference in presence of Sajjad Shaheen. |
