| Nehru School clinched second prize in science quiz organized at SMVD Katra | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, June 4: Tulika Maggo of Nehru Memorial Higher Secondary School won second prize in science quiz competition held at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University.
The quiz competition was organized in an INSPIRE camp in support of the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India from May 28 ,2011 to June 1, 2011.
500 students from different schools from all across the state participated in these camps.
On the first day of inauguration, Dr. S. K. Wanchoo, Organizing Coordinator of the camp, underscored the importance of the INSPIRE Camp to nurture future talents in J&K in science and technology.
Prof. R.N.K. Bamezai, Vice chancellor of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University gave the first INSPIRE expository lecture.
Meanwhile School principal, congratulated the winning student and exhorted the students to participate enthusiastically in various activities related to the learning of basic sciences.
