Bus hits tree, 15 pilgrims injured | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, June 4: At least fifteen pilgrims suffered injuries when a rashly driven bus collided with a tree in Nagrota on Jammu-Srinagar national highway here today. Giving details, police said, a bus bearing registration number JK02AD-8601 which was coming from Katra to Jammu collided with a tree on reaching here at Balani Pul area of Nagrota in which fifteen persons suffered injuries. Before the police could swing into action, police said that the accused driver of the bus fled away with his vehicle from the spot, leaving injured persons. On receiving information, police rushed to the spot and they shifted them to the Government Medical College Hospital Jammu for advanced treatment. Injured have been identified as Romesh Chander of Fatehpur Sikary, Adtya of Maharashtra, Arshna of Maharashtra, Keshav of Maharashtra, Leela Bai of Maharashtra, Vipan of Panjtirthi, Papu, Lajpat Raj, Sunil of Udhampur, Sonika of Udhmapur, Anjesha of Resham Ghar, Gajanand of Maharashtra, Chain Singh of Panchary, Jai Danesh Chander Maharashtra and Ashok Chandra of Maharashtra. Meanwhile, in another accident, an ambassador car driver sustained injuries when it collided with a CRPF vehicle on the Jammu-Srinagar highway in Nagrota. Injured, sources said, was shifted to the GMCH for treatment. Similarly, three persons wounded in a road accident in Udhampur, police informed. |
