| J&K govt stalls developmental projects in backward areas: PDP | | | Early Times Report
RAJOURI, Jun 5: District president of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and MLA Darhal Choudhary Zulfikar has expressed his serious concern over failure of the state government to accelerate developmental activities in backward areas.
He said that works on most of the development projects has been stopped. Choudhary Zulfikar, who conducted three weeks extensive tour of Rajouri district, regretted that all the developmental works have come to standstill due to apathetic attitude of the authorities at the helm of the affairs. Ridiculing government’s excuse that developmental works have been halted due to delay in finalization of annual plan, Choudhary Zulfikar said that even centrally sponsored schemes like MNREGA, RGGVY, SSA, IAY and NRHM were not functioning in Rajouri.
MLA Darhal said that due to failure of government to complete developmental projects, residents of rural areas have been facing hardship. He warned that PDP would come on roads if government failed to start developmental schemes. |
