Bhalla inaugurates tube well at K C Colony | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Jun 5: Minister for Revenue Raman Bhalla on Sunday inaugurated a 33000 Gallon Per Day (GPD) capacity deep drill tube well at Marakadi K C Colony, constructed at an estimated cost of Rs. 62 lakh under NRWDP. Senior engineers of PHE, PDD and R&B were present on the occasion. After inaugurating the tube well, the Minister addressed a large gathering and said with the commissioning of the tube well, a population of 3080 souls of K C Colony and Ambedkar Nagar and its adjoining areas would be benefited. Responding to the local demands, the Minister informed that a plan has been formulated for widening of all interior roads of the K C Colony add said that after completing the tendering formalities, the road widening project could be started. At Nai Basti Ward No. 23, Bhalla laid foundation stone for upgradation of all internal links lanes and drains of the area for which Government has earmarked Rs. 12 lakh. He asked the JMC engineers to complete the work within month for the convenience of the residents. The Minister also inspected the ongoing construction work of Rs. 70 lakh Kashav Bhawan at Ram Leela Chowk in Nai Basti. At Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust, Bhalla inaugurated one-day free eye check up camp. The camp was organized by Dr. K D’s Laser Eye Clinic in collaboration with Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust. Chief Patron GDCT, Masood Choudhary, Chairman GDCT, Hassam Ali, besides other representatives of GDCT were present on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, Bhalla appealed the people to avail the benefits such door step organized camp. He said Dr. K D’s Eye hospital is one of the pioneer institutions in northern India having most sophisticated state of the art infrastructure and human resource in tune with the latest requirements for complete eye care.
