| One day convention of Jheewar Biradari | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jun 5: All Jammu and Kashmir Jheewar Biradari “one day convention” of Jammu Rural and Urban was held under the chairmanship of Madan Lal Dogra, President of the community in the presence of Bansi Lal Choudhary, Convener of All J&K Backward Classes Union.
In the convention, all the speakers stressed for the enhancement of reservation in the state government services as per Supreme court Judgement dt.16-12-1992 on Mandal Commission Report-1980 in the case Indira Sawhney Vs Union Of India. Speakers criticised the state rulers for giving the fundamental constitutional Rights of Mandal Commission identified OBC’s to the artificial group of backward classes.
Ashwani Kumar Bamotra said that census on the basis of caste and fresh B.P.L demarcation will start from June-2011 and will be completed by the end of December-2011. Bamotra also requested President’s of other O.B.C. castes and communities among Muslim, Hindu, Sikhs to share themselves with their community masses to mention their caste as per their Revenue Record on the Basis of which we are getting the O.B.C. Certificate.
Oother who spoke in the meeting included Murari Lal Balgotra, Maggar Ram, Chanchla Devi, Vijay Kumari, Ashok Kumar (Corporator) Balwant Rai,Subash Mehra,Ashok Kumar Mehra,Mohan lal,Chaman Lal Sanotra, Kuldeep Balgotra,Bodh Raj Dogra,Surinder Kumar Sodi,Tirth Ram Sodi, Girdhari lal Choudhary, Sonu kumar,Vijay Kumar and Ashok Kumar.
