| DG BSF visits IB, boosts jawans' morale | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 5: BSF DG Raman Srivastava visited several places on the International Border (IB) here during his two-day visit to the state and interacted with jawans and field officers.
While commending them for their valiant services and alertness, he also raised their morale and asked them to remain ever vigilant on the IB to foil any infiltration bid from across the border.
Accompanied by additional DG BSF (west), Rajdeep Singh, and BSF IG S Chattopadhyaya, he Saturday visited the holy shrine of Baba Chamilyal in Ramgarh area and paid his obeisance.
Later addressing a sainik sammelan at BSF campus, Paloura, he appreciated the efforts of BSF Jammu Frontier in bringing peace and tranquility to the area.
He also highlighted the supreme sacrifices made by the gallant officers and men in bringing peace to the border state.
His wife and BWWA president Anjali Srivastava, who was also accompanying him, inaugurated Anchal Play School for the children of BSF families.
She also inaugurated Saundarya beauty parlour for the families of the BSF personnel and witnessed a colorful cultural programme presented by the families of BSF jawans at the family welfare centre.
