| Privilege Committee of LC meets | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
SRINAGAR, JUNE 6:
An introductory meeting of Privilege Committee of Legislative Council was held under the Chairmanship of MLC, Naresh Kumar Gupta here today.
Threadbare discussion was held on the working of the committee and committee felt that cases referred to it will be decided promptly after minute examination. It was observed that the committee has an important role, which has to be played effectively and judiciously to in the interest of public.
Legislators, Syed Mohammad Rafiq Shah and Mohammad Amin Bhat gave their valuable suggestions with regard to the improvement in the working of the Committee in line with democratic conventions and assigned role of legislature.
The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Secretary Council, Mohammad Maqbool Bhat besides other concerned senior officers of council secretariat. |
