Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jun 6: Congress leader Surinder Singh Shingari today said that despite increasing temperature, Jammu district is facing acute shortage of drinking water.
He said that PHE authorities always refer to shortage of power supply as the cause of inadequate supply of water. He said that the problem has not been resolved so far. He said that the authorities should provide the gensets to the pumping station for the maintenance of essential services such as drinking water.
He said that such arrangement has been done in the Kashmir region for the regular water supply for various localities. He demanded that authorities should initiate the same solution to the Jammu district and other districts of the state.
