| Amarnath yatra arrangements reviewed | | | Early Times Report
KATHUA, Jun 6: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kathua Zahida Parveen Khan convened a meeting of district officer here at Kathua today, to review the arrangements for ensuing Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2011,
Meeting discussed arrangements related to the stay of Yatris, besides provision for drinking water, power supply, Medicare, sanitation, construction of temporary toilets, traffic regulation and above all security arrangements during yatra period enroute from Lakhanpur to Hiranagar.
DDC directed Chief Education Officer (CEO) Kathua to make available High/Higher Secondary school buildings and ETT college buildings along the national highway for stay of Yatris in case of any emergency. CAPD department was directed to ensure quality of eatables and genuine rates, by conducting regular market checking.
CMO was directed to deploy additional doctors and ambulances at Lakhanpur and other points for the health care of the Yatris. PWD(R&B) was directed to construct temporary toilets for the Yatris. DDC directed fire services department to keep their fire tenders ready for meeting any exigency.
