BJP takes out protest march | Baba Ramdev’s forced eviction | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, June 6: Hundreds of BJP activists of Jammu Mahanagar led by District President Rajesh Gupta, took out a protest march from Kachi Chawni against the treatment meted to Baba Ramdev and thousands of innocent people at New Delhi. After passing through various bazaars, it culminated at Purani Mandi Chowk, where these activists joined dharna with activists of Patanjali Yog Peeth and other organisations. Rajesh Gupta, while condemning the use of police to harass, terrorise and injure the disciples of Baba Ramdev who had assembled at New Delhi’s Ramlila Ground to express their solidarity with the pious mission undertaken by Baba Ramdev, said it was heard that the emergency imposed by the Congress in 1975 was the dark chapter in Indian history but the elders in the country, who are witnessed to those days, have said that the way Congress-led UPA used the police against peaceful and non-violent people has superceded the emergency days as far as brutalities are concerned. Rajesh Gupta said that our activists fully support Baba Ramdev in his crusade against corruption, appealed the masses to come openly against the UPA for its such an attitude towards those patriotic people who want India to be a corruption free nation and punish such elements who are responsible for loot and fleece of Indian money. Similar protests were also organised at Kathua, Ramban, Kishtwar, Bhaderwah, Samba, Udhampur, Akhnoor, Rajouri and Sunderbani districts.
