JAMMU, June 6: GGS Sachdeva Group is one of the prominent institutes in Punjab established in the year 2002. The group has progressed remarkably in the terms of education and placements. From time to time GGS-Sachdeva Institutes has launched various schemes to facilitate the students to achieve their goals effectively.
GGS Sachdeva group is one of the pioneer institutions in Punjab to build a close link between education and the girls students. They have started exclusive girls engineering college in the year 2008.
Baljeet Kaur Monga, Director of the institute has a vision to provide education to the girls who fare well till plus two but rarely make it to a degree college due to economic reasons of the family.
For their better lives ahead She has launched many fee concessions which would help the girls to obtain engineering degree and get good jobs. The college has taken steps to build confidence and ensure guardians of girl student for their safe and quality education, which otherwise is not possible in co-educational degree college as felt by the guardians.
Within such a short span of time college is ranked amongst the best engineering college in the northern region for the girls. Beside this International tie up curved a niche in the commitment to uncompromising quality such as University of the West of Scotland (UWS),Glasgow Caledonian University (Scotland, UK),Stow College, Glasgow(Scotland, UK), Queens academic Groups (New Zealand), Nelson Marlborough Institute f Technology (New Zealand). Making future happens Learning Academy (Wellington, New Zealand) and The New Zealand School of Travel and Tourism Limited (Auckland, New Zealand).
While the college ensures all round personality development along with their academic pursuit, it also takes effective steps to put them at right path in their future careers. A proactive Placement Cell headed by our Director (Placement) works in close unison with the outgoing students and guide and helps them in securing the right kind of job and openings.
Scahdeva Engineering College for girls has been providing various scholarship schemes and fee concessions in MBA and Btech Students.
Fee Concessions on the basis of AIEEE rank iclude those who rank among top 25000. Fifty percent discount on tution fee to students whose both parents are not alive or students who belong to handicap family.
Fifty percent concession will be given if the income of the father is less than 2 lacs per annum and alo to those having two girl child.
Even scholarships are given to the students to keep them motivated throughout the degree program. The scholarship/fees concession is valid for one year and will continue for next year on merit basis.
The motto behind the above mentioned scholarship is to uplift the girl student by providing them a professional degree and a stable career ahead in the life.
