| Mehbooba supported AFSPA implementation: NC | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Srinagar, June 7 (KNS): Ruling National Conference Tuesday alleged that Peoples Democratic Party President, Mehbooba Mufti, supported implementation of Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) in the Legislative Assembly.
Accusing Mehbooba of voting in favour of implementing the AFSPA, a spokesperson of the NC said that PDP rule weakened the democratic institutions of the state. “The PDP government was caught in obscene things like sex scandal and turning the state into most corrupt state in India,” he said.
“Policies of PDP are based on lies and they are best in deceiving the people. The failure of the PDP is evident as they are liars and deceive people at every now and then,” he added.
The spokesperson said that the resources of the state were driven out during the PDP rule. “The best example could be the contract of 1985 when the Salal Hydroelectric Project by Mufti Sayeed was given to the centre at the cost of the state.”
