Sikh organizations appealed extend the date for inclusion of new Sikh voters | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, June 7: The various Sikh organization of J&K including Sheromani Akali Dal, Sheromani Youth Akali Dal, All India Sikh. Student federation, Bhai Kanaya Nishkam Sewa Society Sikh Nawjawan Sabha, Sikh Istri Sudher Sabha and Sikh welfare society held a joint meeting where in they demanded that the state government should extend the date for the inclusion of new Sikh voters. As per the members, because of the unawareness about the government order regarding the last date for inculsion of the Sikh voters which was June 8, they demanded some extension in the date. They further requested to the Raman Bhalla Revenue & Rehabilitation Minister to publish the voter lists in English as most of the people of this community don’t know Urdu. They said that the Urdu Language is not known by all the members of our community so we are facing very hardship due to voter list published in Urdu Language and said that their request should be accepted. The community members said that the Revenue Minister is requested to direct financial commissioner Revenue J&K to consider out request in the interest of Sikh Community.
