JAMMU, June 7:
All J&K Plus 2 Lecturers’ Forum has strongly advocated for “regularization and running pattern” to the cadre.
The central house of representatives which met here today under the Chairmanship of HD Qureshi President of the Forum reviewed the overall scenario in the Department in the day long session where all the district presidents of Jammu region were present besides the central leadership and the members of governing councils.
While elaborating the details of decision taken in the house, B D Sharma, district president Jammu and chief spokesperson of the Forum apprised that the House seriously viewed the delay in the implementation of Cabinet decision taken on March 29 for regularization despite assurances from Minister for Education Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
B.D Sharma apprised that the delaying tactics of Government in extending the benefits of “running pattern to the cadre” was a matter of serious concern in the house and the participants in one voice advocated for implementation of announcements of former Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad in this context.
The other issues which were discussed in the House include upgradation of Higher Secondary School as “Intermediate Colleges”, further elevation of lectures to the rank of senior lecturers, elevation to the rank of Principals, CEOs and Joint Directors.
The filling up of vacancies of lecturers in the institution and immediate creation of posts in the Higher Secondary Schools upgraded through internal arrangements was stressed, Sharma apprised.
The appointment of Chairman and Secretary in the management of BOSE was a point of serious concern and the House severely criticized the government for appointing college teachers in the field of school education being non-concerned agency.
H D Qureshi the President of the Forum while speaking on this occasion expressed his satisfaction that the Forum is functioning with a unique co-ordination at state level under the leadership of state president Dr Manzoor Ahmed and referred the details of meetings with state Chief Minister and Minister for Education where the issue of “Reguarization, Running Pattern” was raised.
