| Awareness programme for rural woman organized at Shora | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 7: A simple but impressive Awareness Generation Programme for Rural Women was organized by an NGO Priyadarshini Indira Mahila Bolek Society at village, Shora Block Marh Akhnoor.
The Programme was sponsored by Central Social Welfare Board. Theme of the camp was Consequence of the imbalance in sex ratio, female feticide need care and empowerment of adolescent girl through education.
The chief guest of the camp was Sarpanch Raj Kumar. The camp was attended by nearly 80 people comprising of mostly women.
Speaking on the occasion Raj Kumar laid stress on empowerment of women through education and how it can help our society in a great way.
Speaking on the occasion teacher from Primary School Shora laid stress on role of female in strengthening the family as well as social bonds in the society.
The camp was a great success. Some villager also shared their view point.
He said that the village Shora is an area belonging to people of Schedule Caste Category of the society and is a neglected area. Most of the people still live in thatched houses and are come under BPL Category.
The camp was attended by Yogesh Dham and Rajni Bala from NGO and they gave detailed description of importance holding such camps and what is their need in the present day world. Refreshment was served to the ladies.
