KU M Ed students appeal VC | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Srinagar, June 8 (KNS): Distance Education M. Ed students of Kashmir University (Jammu chapter) have alleged that the university authorities have proponed their examination dates without informing them. A delegation of students told KNS that exams were scheduled to be held in August-September. “Same was written on exam forms. But to our utter surprise, the KU authorities came up with a date sheet mentioning the exams would be held in July,” they said. “When we contacted Director Distance Education KU, Dr Nilofar Khan, she told us that date sheet can’t be revised at any cost and we have to appear in July only. We are not prepared in July and it is question of our career,” they added. The students appealed new Vice Chancellor to look into the matter. When contacted Controller Exams KU, A M Shah said, “We come up with date sheet when Director communicates us that the syllabus is complete. If Director will write to us that syllabus is incomplete we will revise it.”
