| House panel to examine creation, up gradation of health institutions | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
SRINAGAR, JUNE 08 –The House panel constituted to streamline up-gradation and creation of health institutions in the State and look into the norms adopted for up gradation and creation of such institutions since 2002 on Wednesday sought official record from Health and Family Welfare departments.
These departments were asked to make available all the relevant record reflecting year and district wise details about the health institutions created and upgraded since 2002 till March 2011.
The Committee, which met here under the chairmanship of Dr. Mustafa Kamal highlighted the need to utilize funds earmarked on this account equitably.
The Committee desired that health projects under execution across the State should be made time bound to avoid cost runs. Thrust need to be given on opening of new health institutions in uncovered areas, the committee observed.
Legislators, Mr. Javeed Mustfa Mir, Mr. Ashok Kumar, Professor Gharu Ram Bhagat, Mr. Mohammad Ashraf Ganai and Mr. Krishen Chander gave their valuable suggestions to make the working of the committee effective and result oriented.
