| Power shutdown | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, JUNE 08-NHPC is taking a shutdown of Salal HEP on June 11 (9 p m)to June 12, 2011 (7 p m) and of Dul Hasti HEP from June 12 (10 p m) to June 13, 2011 (7 p m) for slit flushing operation of their reservoirs. It is likely to disturb power availability position in the state.
The Power Development Department shall use all possible means to meet the shortage of power due to shutdown of these power houses but occasional curtailment in some areas might become unavoidable. In convenience cause to the public, if any, is being regretted.
General public is requested to cooperate and use power judiciously so as to minimize this distress. |
