| Mankotia gets started black topping work of various roads | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
UDHAMPUR, June 9:
MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia today kick started the blacktopping work of various roads of Udhampur constituency.
The work of black topping got started on roads including Billan bowli-Sial road, Gadian talab, Shakti Nagar road, Hare Rama Hare Krishna road.
Speaking on the occasion, Mankotia said that due to heavy rain fall last year the condition of these roads become very bad and it was unable to walk on these roads, keeping in view the genuine demand the up-gradation work of these roads is started so that people may not suffer in future.
Mankotia said Rs 40 lakh has been sanctioned for the blacktopping of roads in city and its periphery; he issued instruction to the PWD department to maintain the quality of work and also asked the people to remain vigilant to check the quality of work.
Later, the MLA also called the meeting of officers of PHE department Udhampur in which SE Hydraulic circle Udhampur, Xen PHE, Xen PHE Mech, AEE and all JEs were present, Mankotia issued instruction to all the officers to visit every village personally and solve the problem of people on spot so that people should not suffer in future, he asked the officers to complete all the ongoing water supply scheme of Udhampur constituency immediately. |
