Thousands pay obeisance at Kheer Bhawani shrine | | | EARLY TMES REPORT JAMMU, June 9: Several thousands of people belonging to all faiths and religions drawn from all parts of the country and State, paid obeisance at the holy temple shrine of Mata Kheer Bhawani in Tulmullla (Kashmir) on the first day of the 3-day long annual historical Mela that commenced at the Shrine from Jeshtashtami of Shukal Pakasha today. Jammu and Kashmir Dharmarth Trust runs the management affairs of this one of the biggest shrine of Shree Mata Kheer Bhawani in Kashmir under directions of Dr Karan Singh, Chairman Trustee. As devotees started converging in the Temple complex from wee hours, Trustees Vikramaditiya Singh, MK Ajatshatru Singh, Members of the Trust Council, President Thakur Divakar Singh, Senior Advocate D C Raina, MLC Vijay Bakaya, Major General (Retd.) RS Jamwal and Prof Hari Om (Members) and Secretary, Shashi Khajuria performed Puja and assessed the arrangements being made for devotees at the Shrine The Jammu and Kashmir Dharmarth Trust opened community langer for devotees apart from making available to them necessities required in performance of Puja. In this connection, management of the Trust, have categorically directed employees of the Trust to provide all help to devotees visiting the Shrine during Mela days. Several Kashmir based philanthropic societies and Organizations have opened community langers for the devotees.
