UDHAMPUR, NOV 22
The Assistant Controller, Department of Legal Metrology, Udhampur has realized a fine of Rs.6700 from 15 traders for violation of Weights and Measures laws and rules. The areas where intensive checking was conducted include Patnitop, Katra, Reasi, Vijaypur (Reasi), Kawa and Udhampur town in district Udhampur.
At Karlah near Patnitop the shawl sellers were directed to remove the bogus sign boards of Jammu-Ladakh Handloom Corporation, Jammu Handlooms used by them at their establishments and abstain from cheating the customers.
