| DDC for conducting regular health camps in remote areas | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
UDHAMPUR, June 10:
To Review the physical and financial achievements registered by District Health Society, Udhampur upto ending May of current fiscal under National Health Mission (NRHM), the District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, Baseer Ahmed Khan convened a meeting of District and Block level Medical officers here today.
Detailed review was held on various activities which include status of Rogi Kalyan Samities, Civil works, ASHAs Immunization programme, OPD, IPD, Institutional deliveries, Village Health and Nutrition days etc.
The DDC exhorted upon officers of Health Department to accelerate the frequencies of meetings by conducting periodical reviews with proper follow up of the decisions taken in such meetings. This would certainly go a long way in registering maximum achievements in the implementation of various components of the National Rural Health Mission at the grass root level for the benefit of the common masses, he asserted.
To monitor the regularity and punctuality of medicos and para-medicos posted in the field, Khan asked the Block Medical Officers to conduct random surprise checks of different health institutions under their jurisdiction and submit a report of erring officials, if any to the Chief Medical Officer for strict action warranted under rules.
Regarding the construction and renovation of various health centers buildings, the District Development Commissioner directed the concerned BMOs to monitor the progress of execution of civil works under their respective jurisdictions and keep him informed from time to time. |
