| Civil defence Doda did commendable job in cloud burst rescue operation | | | EARLY TIIMES REPORT
Jammu, June 10: During the cloud burst which took place at Bagger in Doda causing lot of damage to life and property in the area, the CD volunteers/ VHGs immediately reached the site and started the rescue operation under the command of the Dy SP Dar /Dy controller/Area Commander of CD/VHG Doda to save the person trapped in the flood.
CD/VHG volunteers rescued and shifted about 120 persons immediately gave First Aid and shifted them to safe sites and some children and old age/handicapped persons were shifted to district headquarter in CD ambulances.
Throughout the night and next day rescue operation was carried out by CD volunteers and helped in restoring temporary foot path and water supply and electricity in the area.
ADGP Home guard personally monitored rescue operation. CD/VHG volunteers have done commendable job during the rescue operation.
