| NC compromising with economic development of state: Shahzad | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
RAJOURI, June 10:
Senior PDP leader Shahzad Khan criticized the NC led coalition government for misleading the people throughout its tenure.
Lambasting the handing over of the premier J&K Bank to the RBI by the state government, Khan said that compromising the economic development and resources of the state, the bank has become the latest scapegoat in the hands of the NC led coalition government.
He said that the present coalition government is reluctant to put the state’s economy at stake. The power and water resources have already been outsourced and now the premier bank of the state is excluded from its position as the banker of the state government.
Condemning the short-sighted vision of the present coalition government, Shahzad said that in case the government felt that if there is “financial indiscipline” in the state government as admitted by the Finance Minister which in turn led to handing over the bank to the RBI, then shouldn’t we discipline it rather than just handing over to another institution? Khan querying the hon’ble Finance Minister asked, “If your child becomes undisciplined then instead of disciplining him would you give him away to your neighbours?”
Unfortunately, Shahzad said that NC has always compromised the state’s dignity and self respect. Not only in economic field but educational institutions are also suffering but for the apathetic attitude of the government.
