Khoda addresses jawans, stresses for continuous improvement in functioning | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT SRINAGAR, June 10: Jammu and Kashmir Police has been recognized at national level for its dedication and sacrifices in maintaining peace and order in the State. The force has assumed nation wide acclaim and the personnel of the organization have always taken its responsibilities as a challenge and have proved themselves pro- people by ensuring safety of the human lives and public property. This was disclosed by the Director General of Police (DGP), Kuldeep Khoda while addressing the jawans and officers at a function held at District Police Lines (DPL) here today. He said that during past years the force had to face different situations and after coming successfully from the anti-terrorism front, the personnel had to face a new challenge of law and order maintenance. Jawans and officers of the organization at the risk of their lives faced these situations bravely and restore the peace to foil ill designs of law breakers. All sections of the society have recognized the role of men in khaki and the State government also has appreciated the efforts of the organization, he added. Appreciating the jawans and officers, Khoda said it was due to efforts and sacrifices of all ranks of the force that peace has been maintained and the trade activities have come back on rails. Educational activities have been restored and the students are seen attending their schools and academies in the late hours also. Contrary to previous years, now our women folk and the tourists are found on the roads during late hours without any fear, said the DGP. The DGP stressed upon the jawans and officers to improve their proficiency and keep the normalcy maintained which has been restored after offering supreme sacrifices. He said that the force has to move forward and attain more heights of success for which public cooperation is mandatory. He impressed upon them for strenuous efforts to bring about continuous improvement in their functioning. He added that all ranks of the force are representatives of police parivar and where every they are performing, they are under the gaze of public, and as such their performance should always be of highest standards. On the occasion, Khoda announced absorption of 14 SPOs of district Srinagar as Constables and Followers in the organization.
