Two days training programme organized by JKGB

JAMMU, June 10: J&K Grameen Bank (JKGB) is organizing two days (i.e. 11th and 12th June) exposure/training programme on financial inclusion with NABARD assistance for members of farmers clubs/self help groups (SHG)/ Business correspondents (BCS) at chinmaya organization for rural development (CORD), sidhabri, Dharamshala, Himacahal Pardesh, J&K Grameen Bank decided to take the group of twenty five members of Farmeers clubs/ self help Groups (SHG)/ Business correspondents (BCs) for experience sharing/ knowledge transfer at CORD.
In this connection, a simple function was held at the head office of the bank at Narwal, Jammu today to flag off the group of participants for exposure cum training visit at CORD.
M L Sukhdeve, CGM, NABRD was the chief Guest on the occasion and M K Vij General Manager, J&K Grameen Bank presided over the function. Jia Lal Sharma, Director Horticulture was also present on the occasion which was attended by the senior officers and staff at Head office of the Bank besides the member participants.
While speaking on the occasion, M L Sukhdeve, Chief General Manager (CGM), NABARD impressed upon the gathering to come forward to take the maximum benefit of the exposure programme and interact with the farmers of Himachal Pardesh.
He outlined the financial inclusion concept and said that bank is regularly organizing such type of programmes for imparting education to the general masses more particularly to the financially excluded people.
M K Vij, general Manager, JKGB spoke on the occasion and apprised the gathering about the concept of financial inclusion and steps taken by the bank for covering the allocated villages to the bank. He thanked CGM, NABARD for providing financial assistance to the bank for organizing such type of programmes.
Jia Lal Sharma, Director Horticulture, while speaking on the occasion congratulated General Manager, JKGB & NABARD for taking keen interest in financial inclusion programme and also in rural development through organizing such exposure/ training programmes.
