Trekking group flagged off for Chamunda | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, June 10: A group of Tawi Trekkers, J&K comprising of 42 students including 17 girls of Oriental Academy Higher Secondary School, Jammu left today for Chamunda to participate in the Dharamshala Himalayan Trekking Programme being organized by Tawi Trekkers, J&K. The group is being led by Sonam Sidarth and Nikhil Kumar. Five teachers of the school namely Manisha Dubey, Nishu Dubey, Sheetal Raina, Preeti Thappa and Sonia Sharma also accompanied the group. During the four days venture the trekkers shall visit Dharamshala, Mcleodganj, the seat of His Holiness Dalai Lama, Bhagsu Nag, Waterfall, Dharamkot, Dal and Tapovan.
Earlier, the group was flagged off by the President of Tawi Trekkers, Sumant Singh Jamwal from the school premises. Vivek Chouhan, administrator of the school and Ram Khajuria, general secretary of Tawi Trekkers, J&K were also present on the occasion. Meanwhile, the first group which left Jammu on June five has come back after a thrilling experience.
