| President must suspend Centre govt: BJP | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Rajouri, June 11
Taking strong note of the deteriorating health condition of Yog Guru Baba Ramdev, Bhartiya Janta Party has appealed President of India to intervene and suspend Centre government for its criminal silence over the black money issue on which Ramdev is struggling for life in the hospital.
Issuing a statement here, State Secretary of BJP, Advocate Vibodh Gupta said that on one side Yog Guru is struggling for life in the hospital due to his hunger strike and on the other side Centre has adopted silence which is crime. He questioned “Is Centre going to kill people who are on hunger strike and if any untoward will happens BJP will initiate country wide hunger strike”, BJP leader said adding that President of India Pratibha Devi Singh Patil must intervene and suspend Centre Government for adopting criminal silence on important public issue. “We will not tolerate to insult hunger strike of thousands of people in support of Baba Ramdev”, he said adding that this is serious matter and government is taking it lightly.
Supporting Baba Ramdev in his agitation against corruption of declaring of black money in foreign banks as National property, Bhartiya Janta Party leader termed the government corrupt and supporters of those who have deposited Indian money in Swiss Banks. He also supported the cause of Ana Hazare and said that Government is misleading country of Lokpal Bill and they are dodging Ana and his team and pressurizing them.
Gupta said that some ministers in Centre government are targeting Ana Hazare and Baba Ramdev because they have frightened from the campaign against corruption. “These ministers are either corrupt or they are having their bank accounts in foreign banks”, he alleged saying that if Ana and Baba Ramdev have highlighted this issue for National Interest why these ministers are opposing them. “It is clear that these people are also involved in corrupt practices and it is why Ana and Baba;s campaign is not being tolerated by them”.
Terming action on Baba Ramdev as brutality, Gupta said that the incident is not less than Jalianwala Bagh incident and the difference is that General Dyre has been changed. He said that Congress government has exceeded its limits more than British India Government and Prime Minister must resign on this incident. |
