| 30 vehicles challaned, Rs 2.10 lakh realised as fine | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
SAMBA, June 11: The motor vehicles department (MVD) launched a drive here today to check registration papers of commercial vehicles.
A MVD team, comprising Jammu RTO Varinder Salathia and Samba ARTO Kewal Krishan, examined registration papers of video coaches, minibuses, load carriers, trucks and other commercial vehicles.
A total of 30 vehicles were challaned and a fine of Rs 2.10 lakh was realised from the defaulters on the spot.The team members also included ARTO Saleem Manhas, MVD Inspectors -- Sunil and Jugal.
