Religion teaches righteous way of living: Tara Chand

DODA, JUNE 11–Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Tara Chand said that religion teaches mankind the right way of living and molds the thinking of people in a positive way.
He said great saints and seers of the country have shown the righteous way of living based on mutual co-existence, love and devotion to the supreme lord.
Mr. Tara Chand was addressing a gathering at the 20th Annual Sant Sammelan at Batote, today.
The annual yagna and Sammelan was organized by Bhuvneshwari Devi. Besides thousands of devotees, the Sammelan was participated by Saints and Seers from all across the Northern part of the country.
MLA, Ramban Mr. Ashok Kumar, District Development Commissioner, Ramban, Mr. Shabir Khan, Former Cabinet Minister, Mr. Jugal Kishore Sharma and PCC, Secretary Mr. Narinder Sharma, were among the prominent who participated in the function.
Lauding the role Saints play in influencing the thinking of the people, the Deputy Chief Minister said that from historical times the state is famous for religious conferences and its unique culture of mutual co-existence. He said religious leaders by their pious teachings positively affect the minds of those who follow them.
Later, the organizing committee presented to the Deputy Chief Minister financial assistance of Rupees Fifty One Thousand for the cloud brust affected people of Bagar.
Mr. Tara Chand thanked the organizers for the generous assistance and called for organizing more such spiritual gatherings in the State.
